Our helpline provides a safe and confidential space where we offer guidance, and signpost you to any other relevant services. Whether you are experiencing a crisis or just need someone to talk to, we are here to support you.

In some situations, our team may suggest a crisis intervention to address immediate safety concerns. Depending on your needs, we may also recommend coming in for a face-to-face appointment to provide further support and assistance.

1-to-1 Support
(Court Accompaniment, Counselling, Safety Planning)

Our 1-to-1 support services are designed to offer personalised assistance.

This support may include immediate crisis intervention, emotional & practical support. Safe space and assistance with accessing medical attention if needed.

Court accompaniment, where we guide you through the process of applying for a domestic violence order or attending court due to a summons. Our team will assess your eligibility for the order you are seeking and explain the next steps following your court visit.

Additionally, we provide tailored safety planning to help you and your children stay safe, giving you practical strategies to protect yourselves in difficult situations.

Respite
(Day Respite)

Carlow Women’s Aid offers a safe and peaceful day respite service at our office location, providing clients with a calm and quiet environment to take a break from stressful situations. Here, you can gather your thoughts, reflect, and find support in a space designed to promote well-being and tranquility.

Our team is on hand to offer a listening ear and any assistance you may need during your respite time.

Awareness Raising

Group Work
(Support for Teenagers Living with Abuse)

Growing up in an environment of domestic abuse can leave lasting emotional effects. Our group work programme is designed to support teenagers who have experienced domestic abuse at home.

Through peer support and guided sessions, young people can share their feelings in a safe space, learn coping strategies, and build resilience. Our aim is to help them feel empowered and supported as they navigate their journey to healing.
